When each of my children was identified with hearing loss at birth, I moved through many stages before arriving at a place of acceptance.

My early career in journalism centered on telling everyday stories, but over time, my focus evolved to sharing my family’s experience with hearing loss.

Today, as the mother of two thriving young adults who utilize cochlear implants, I know one thing for certain: no one should have to walk this path alone.
